rachel and jackson - engagement

A few weeks ago I got a phone call from Jackson. He told me he was getting married and needed a photographer for an engagement session and the wedding day. We started talking and in the mist of our conversation he told me this was one of his task that his fiance was letting him take care of for the wedding plans. I was so excited to have a groom to be call me. To have a groom to be get involved in the wedding day plans. To have a groom to be so in love with his fiance that he wanted to take the pressure off her somewhat of all the planning. Did I mention he is in med school and she just got excepted!! Talk about a busy couple and then add in the task of planning a wedding - well that just seems so daunting. When we met to do an engagement session they were unsure of their photogenic ability but they stepped right in and worked their magic. It made my job so easy and enjoyable!! Here are some of my favorites from the session!

I love this series...I wish I could say they thought I was funny and they were laughing at me but they were laughing at each other.

The day was so gorgeous and the lighting was perfect.

Thanks Rachel and Jackson! It was so much fun hanging out with you guys!!

alyssa and joey

I can't believe it has been a year since I have posted a blog! Shame on me. Well this is a great time to update it and celebrate Alyssa and Joey! This past fall I did their engagement session where we got to really get to know each other. They are so sweet and love each other dearly. Alyssa and Joey have a wonderful heart and a fun spirit so I knew when the wedding day arrived it would end up being a wonderful day and I was right. A few weeks ago they finally said "I do!" Alyssa was beautiful and so was the wedding. I felt like part of the family and comfortable the whole day. Did I mention TWO couples were there that I had photographed their wedding a few years back. One of them was Joey's brother. I love keeping it in the family!! Well I have picked out some of my favorites from the wedding and engagement session for this post. Also here is the wedding slideshow to enjoy more!!

Thanks Alyssa and Joey for letting me be a part of your wedding!!

chase and jessica - engagement

Last weekend I had the pleasure of doing engagement pictures for Chase and Jessica. They are getting married in May and the wedding is going to be so beautiful!

We meet at Chase's grandparent's home and it is such an amazing place full of "picture" opportunities. In fact, about 5 or 6 years ago when I was first starting out I did another engagement session there, for Chase's sister. It was fun going back and creating a whole new set of images.

For Chase and Jessica it was important to include their puppy dogs. I love when couples want to bring their own special uniqueness (is that a word) into the session. Anyway one of the dogs got away and started runny through the tall grass and Chase went after almost stepping on a hugh snake in the process. That night I went to sleep having not so nice dreams of snakes! - Thanks Chase :)

Anyway here are a few of my favorites! If you want to see more click here for the slideshow!

I am glad I found out about the snake after we did these pictures :)

Love the back lighting!

This one shows Chase's goofy side. He was doing this stuff all throughout the evening.

Fun on the swing!

I love how Jessica is looking at Chase - so sweet

The dogs did so good!

Last one of the night!

christy and cory - engagement

I always love when I get a call from someone that I know from my past. Christy called me and told me she was referred to me by Sandra Cook, her caterer! We talked on the phone for a few minutes and realized that we had gone to high school together and she graduated just a couple of years behind me. So I was excited to meet up with her and finally meet Cory her fiance for and engagement session in Smyrna at the new Smyrna Jubilee. She and Cory are so sweet and perfect for each other. It was great hanging out with them! Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

emily and adam

it rained through three scheduled sessions. each time we would have to cancel and schedule again. the two places they wanted to go to for their session was not going to be rain friendly. so we waited and waited. finally we lucked out as usual and meet on one of the most beautiful days. blues skies, cool air! emily and adam were a pleasure to hang out with and they made my job easy because they were just so darn cute :) adam was constantly worried he looked goofy next emily but i assured him he didn't. anyway i can't wait until there wedding in a couple of weeks. they are going to have an amazing rehearsal dinner which i am attending and the wedding is going to be great as well. below are some of my favs of the day and click here if you want to view more on their slideshow!

kirstin and barry in nashville

this weekend i meet kirstin and barry in nashville for their engagement session. they live in kentucky but are getting married here in georgia at the ritz carlton in reynolds plantation. jason and i got there early to scout out locations and visit with an old friend. there are some beautiful spots up there. unfortunately kirstin called and said they were running late. jason and i decided to go to target to see if we would have an star sightings. lately i had been reading nicole kidman and keith urban had been shopping their. no sighting sad to say but it was still fun. right at dark kirstin and barry show up and all of our places we scouted out earlier were outside. so we begged the desk man at this old hotel/train station to let us shoot in the lobby. it ended up being a lot of fun and we got great pictures.
